About Us

Sunrise Detox is a free-standing detoxification and substance abuse treatment facility that is licensed by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). Among the exceptional amenities in our facility: Private and semi-private rooms; an entertainment center with wide-screen TV; digital cable; a large DVD collection; enclosed courtyard where clients can smoke; and access to phones. We are located just minutes from I-95 and Palm Beach International Airport in beautiful Palm Beach, Florida. We are also a licensed buprenorphine medical detox center and most clients going through detox for heroin or opiate pain medication (e.g. Oxycontin, Percocet and Vicodin) will be given buprenorphine. We do, however, create individual protocols when our doctors feel it necessary.

The staff here at Sunrise Detox is made up of dedicated and caring experts in substance abuse treatment. Our Medical Director, Morgan Poncy, M.D. is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in the field of addictions. Executive Director Jeffrey G. Gorin, M.S., CAP has been an alcohol and drug counselor since 1995 and holds a Masters degree in Applied Addictions.

To better serve our clients, our services are covered by a number of health insurance plans. Any questions about insurance coverage or financial arrangements can be answered by contacting us. One of our intake coordinators will be happy to answer any questions. We also gladly assist in making flight and ground transportation arrangements for our out-of-town clients.
