Stuart Dennen has over a decade of professional experience working in substance use and mental health treatment. Being sober since 2005, he has specific compassion, empathy, and understanding of what patients are going through before, during, and after the treatment process.
As an Alumni Coordinator, Stuart offers peer support, reaching out to patients following their discharge, planned or against medical advice (AMA) from Sunrise Detox, acting as a bridge from treatment back into their everyday life. He connects them with local recovery meetings, private therapists, curates after-care plans, and even speaks to families to offer advice and support when needed. Dennen strives to ensure patients don’t feel alone but supported and have a shoulder they can lean on whenever they need to on their journey.
